豪徳寺

Gotokuji Temple is situated in Tokyo where the maneki neko is offered for worship. From Shinjuku station you take the Odakyu Line to Gotokuji station and it is a short 8 minute walk over. At first I thought it was closed but ran into fellow travelers as I was circling the outer walls of the Temple who informed me that they did the same and had to walk around the block to get in. So don’t worry, it's opened daily from 6 to 6.
