If you’d like to go admire the Buddha or take a glimpse into Hell’s Gate, this is a must see. To get here, you first need to take the train to Komatsu Station, and then take the #3 bus at the station bus-loop to Hanibe. At the last stop you will find a large Buddha watching over you. The admission at the front gate is ¥800 per person. Closing time is 4PM, so be sure to go early or you’ll be in a hurry to see everything. Pass the gate you will walk through a peaceful garden before you head upwards to the cave that houses sculptures of the Buddha, Demons, Kamasutra and more. Not to miss the small shrines along the way to pay your respects, please continue to follow the path up the hill, the resting Buddha awaits. A very odd but peaceful place.
