馬籠宿

Magome is a comfortable post town with wooden buildings preserved from the Edo Period. I had to take a 2 hour highway bus from Nagoya station to get here. A totally different scene from the busy city streets, no wonder why it is a spot for even the Japanese to visit. Keep in mind the highway bus runs on a less frequent schedule, so plan your stay ahead. Some opt to stay a night over in Magome. For those who come to Japan wanting to experience their heritage, Magome is a definite stop.
